Why the case of fish transportation? What was our goal?
We wanted to find the issue, where the system does not work, and many problems occur. Because of that we designed the questionnaire and asked around 60 people. The results showed that the animal transportation is the biggest problem for people nowadays.
We focused on the aquarium fish. We found out that it is a big problem. During the transport 60% of fish are dieng, which we think is a huge number.
What was the procedure of our research? Or indications of experts
Originally, we wanted to design the box which would guarantee the all comfort for the fish (light, the temperature of water, feeding, filtration, oxidization ap). The aim was to extend the life of fish during the long distance transportation.
We have discussed with aquarists, fanciers and experts about fish transportation. We got 55 replies, of which 15 are positive, 11 negative, 25 suggestions how to inovate.
We found out that it is useless to increase the comfort. It is more important to focus on one problem.
The visit of one expert, Mr. Maťovčík directed us to the solution of the biggest problem, which is the oxidization and shake.
We have redesigned the box. We suggested 3 solutions how to oxidize and chose the best in the case of price, performance and weight ratio.
The second expert Mr. Šlenc, the fancier and distributor of fish, warned us about leaking gas, which had to be eliminated. After that we added a special valve, which sends the air away, but not water.
